Couples Therapist Position - Full and Part time
Individual and Relationship Therapy Center was founded by Laura Cross, LMFT, who was inspired to create a thriving community of relationship therapists, passionate about helping clients heal and grow through Emotionally Focused Therapy and other attachment focused models such as Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) . Though we specialize in couples counseling, we also work with individuals, often in support of their couples work. We all share the common core value of maintaining a positive work environment which naturally promotes collaboration and a sense of support for each other!
We are expanding and looking to invite one or two more skilled and dedicated couples therapist to join our team. If you are excited to commit to a growing caseload and would like to be part of a thriving private practice, we would like to connect with you.
As an employee of IRTC, you will work with your clients independently, while benefiting from a supportive environment of collaborative EFT therapists. Our weekly and monthly meetings provide an opportunity for supervision, case consultation and EFT consultation towards certification. We also take these opportunities to learn and grow from each other’s experiences.

As an IRTC employee, you would provide the following:
Provide exceptional care to your couples and individuals, focusing on Emotionally Focused Therapy and Attachment Theory
Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth through training and supervision as an Emotionally Focused Therapist
Possess an ability and willingness to contribute to increasing your caseload through networking and collaborating with other therapists and mental health professionals
Learn and efficiently utilize practice management systems such as online scheduling, credit card processing and online client records
Licensed or pre-licensed as an LMFT, LCSW, LPC, MFTC, LPCC etc.
Experienced in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, with the ability to effectively see couples’ distress from an attachment perspective
Ability to work with individuals through an attachment lens on relationship issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma
Provide ethical care with high integrity by honoring your strengths and seeking collaboration & support from colleagues when necessary
Work independently to provide clients with an exceptional therapy experience by representing IRTC through excellent judgment and professional conduct at all times
You are not interested in building your own private practice. If you are currently in private practice, you do not intend to continue in that position should you join IRTC
Master’s Degree in Social Work/Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling/Psychology or related mental health field from an accredited University program
Colorado Licensure (preferred) or pre-licensure status, currently working with a Supervisor
Enrollment in, or completion of, EFT Externship and/or Core Skills (or the sincere intention to do so)
Must possess effective written communication skills to facilitate respectful, engaging correspondence with clients and other mental health professionals
Must feel competent with practice technology including online scheduling, credit card processing and online client records
Dependable, responsive and eager to connect with clients and colleagues in a meaningful way.
Adapts well to change and growth - we are constantly growing which means we are constantly changing!
